Message from the Manager (Ben Sharman)
Well what can I say, a huge thank you to Oadby and Wigston for giving me the opportunity to coach such a fantastic group of girls.
I started coaching because I wanted to give back to the sport that has been a huge part of my life. Watching my own children play, I realised how much joy and development football brings, both on and off the pitch.
Coaching has given me the opportunity to support young players, helping them grow in confidence, skill, and teamwork. I do it because I love seeing the children improve, enjoy the game, and learn valuable life lessons through football. Whilst winning is important to me, it’s also about building character, resilience, and a passion for the sport.
Im incredibly proud of how far the team has come. Starting with the basics, we focused on building a strong foundation, teamwork, discipline, and understanding of the game.
Watching the players grow and improve, both individually and as a group, has been so rewarding. Their dedication, effort, and passion have taken the the team to a whole new level, and the progress we’ve made together is clear every time they step on the pitch. It’s been an amazing journey, and I couldn’t be prouder of the strides we made.
Onwards and upwards Foxes ! 🦊
Message from Assistant Coach (Lee Voss)
I have coached and competed in my first sport which was boxing. However, my daughter joined Oadby and Wigston foxes early last year and I fell in love with football again. I was then asked to help out and support the team whilst the head coach went on holiday. I did this and got so much enjoyment interacting with the team and learning more about the sport from the Ben. This has now taken over my life and I live for our girls match day religiously. I am really enjoying watching them grow and develop in to experienced footballers. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve this season as we have improved so much. Up the foxes !
